My next device for reading after the Dell Axim was the HTC Advantage x7501.

This was a more expensive excercise. It cost way more than I should of paid for what I wanted it to do. But I so wanted a bigger screen and there was nothing. All the handheld devices were around the same screen size as the Axim, none went further than 4 inch. Except the more expensive HTC Advantage, that had the 5 inch screen. Or by going up a step and getting a UMPC (ultra mobile personal computer), but the battery life was a deal breaker on those ones at the time.
It might not seem a lot but that 1 inch does make a difference, especially from the small screen of the Axim. The HTC Advantage had lots and lots of features I didn't need or use.
Here are the specs:

This is getting close but it's not my perfect ereading device. The problems were it was heavier than it should of been for it's size, got uncomfortable to hold after a length of time. It was too thick. I also would of liked the screen a bit bigger.
It run's windows mobile very well on it, had no problems with the operating system at all, simple and easy to use, just how I like it.
But not perfect for an ebook reader, also too expensive for the sole purpose of reading books.
